I took a short walk with my mom to check the mail tonight. I looked up and saw the moon and it hit me: this is the same moon that my boyfriend on deployment in a different time zone could be looking at this same moment. When I got home, I logged into Facebook and the first thing I saw was a picture one of my friends had posted of the Atlantic Ocean from Oak Island, NC, and I realized that’s the same ocean someone in Maine could be taking a picture of at the same moment. It made me realize just how great our God is … he creates these beautiful things that are so vast, hundreds of thousands of people can enjoy them all at once! Job 9: 7-12 says, “He speaks to the sun and it does not shine; He seals off the light of the stars. He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea. He is the Maker of the Bear and the Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. When he passes me, I cannot see him; when he goes by, I cannot perceive him. If he snatches away, who can stop him? Who can say to him, ‘What are you doing?’” This passage is just one of many that show how great God is. It says it all …He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed… Our God is indeed an Awesome God.
